CASTING ACADEMY - SPRING TRAINING SEMINAR 2024

ASK Chemicals first launched Casting Academy nearly four decades ago (est. 1980), as a cold box and no-bake seminar. The multiple day event was exclusively for customers and was a value added service dedicated to sustainable foundry education. Today, the mission has not changed, but its reach and depth have expanded.

Casting Academy has broadened its subject matter beyond binder technology and a more comprehensive portfolio is now available: cold box, no-bake, inorganics, coatings, auxiliaries, feeding systems, metallurgy, casting defect analysis, sand basics, tooling design, and simulation software. In addition, ASK Chemicals has partnered with industry leaders to cover an even broader subject matter: scrubber mechanics (Dakota Scrubbers), cold box equipment (Laempe Reich), no-bake equipment (Tinker Omega), and metallurgical expertise (Affival).

As the foundry industry continues to be re-shaped by economics and government policy, affordable education and expertise is increasingly critical.
