Statement on the war against Ukraine

Hilden, March 14, 2022: The management and employees of the ASK Chemicals Group are deeply saddened by the war in Ukraine and the suffering that is being inflicted on the people.
Our thoughts are with those affected and their families, not forgetting our colleagues in Russia.

In light of the current situation, the management of the ASK Chemicals Group has decided the following:

  • All companies of the Group are withdrawing from business with Russia and Belarus.
  • To safeguard the health and safety of our employees, no business trips will be made to Ukraine, Russia and Belarus until further notice.
  • A task force is monitoring the political and legal developments in order to react appropriately with regard to the countries concerned, but also with regard to global business activities, and to adjust the measures taken at any time.

The ASK Chemicals Group is committed to ensuring business continuity across Europe and to continue its activities under the given circumstances and in line with the applicable sanctions.

Despite the dynamic situation and uncertainties related to supply chains, raw material and energy prices, as well as to the applicable sanctions, we are committed to meeting our obligations to our business partners.

We only occasionally use materials of Ukrainian or Russian origin; however, we expect supply shortages and associated raw material price and energy price increases in the coming weeks.

Our team is working at full speed on medium- and long-term solutions to eliminate our dependence on the raw materials sourced from the three countries: Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

Our account managers will inform their customers promptly about changes in the supply and cost situation and implement any necessary adjustments in a solution-oriented and cooperative manner.
